Give Your IP Address a Mustache Disguise in Analytics
3,000 visitors this month?! Oh wait. Your Browser defaults to your homepage. It is probably from you and everyone else in the office opening their browser and leaving it open. Bummer.
Although Google analytics can separate out unique or new visitors through IP addresses, it still can throw your numbers off when your workers are going to the site everyday. Google thought this through and created a filter system so you can eliminate your IP address from your reports.
For example, a company whose employees have their default startup web page as their website will show a lot more visitors and time visited on the site, but these will not be qualified visitors.
