Since today is Giving Tuesday (#givingtuesday), we’d like to showcase some of our nonprofit clients who are doing a great job giving back to our community through their service and philanthropy.  These organizations have changed hundreds of lives, and we hope you can be a part of their work by donating your time or money this holiday season.

ArtsMemphis has been providing funding, mentoring, and advocacy on behalf of Memphis arts, music, dance, and theater programs since 1963.

Literacy Mid-South

Literacy Mid-South is a local nonprofit that creates innovative programs promoting literacy and lifelong learning to both adults and children in the Mid-South.

The ultimate goal of the organization is to support, coordinate, and expand otherwise fragmented community efforts towards community awareness, advocacy, program design, and civic engagement to ultimately create a new generation of lifelong learners.

Indie Memphis

As a two-time Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences grant recipient, and as the only nonprofit film organization to receive annual funding from ArtsMemphis, Indie Memphis brings indie filmmakers and film lovers to the birthplace of Rock'n'Roll to breathe in some of that inspiring Memphis creative energy. New Ballet Ensemble

Founded in 2001, New Ballet Ensemble and School is a Community School of the Arts with a thriving after-school dance program in the heart of Midtown Memphis.  With studios filled with young people training and rehearsing six days a week, this nonprofit also works with local schools, performing shows for all ages and holding residencies. New Ballet Ensemble and School was given the National Arts and Humanities Youth Program Award in 2014 due to being one the country’s best creative youth development programs that uses engagement in the arts and the humanities to increase academic achievement, graduation rates, and college enrollment. Operation Broken Silence

Founded in 2007, Operation Broken Silence leads a global movement for peace and justice in Sudan through innovative programs. This nonprofit is dedicated to responding to the horrors of mass atrocity crimes by confronting such actions through the creative use of multimedia, providing direct and indirect assistance to survivors, and publicly advocating on behalf of the victims.
