Websites We Are Thankful For...
Just for fun we thought we would share what websites we are thankful for this year. When asking this around the office, things got a little weird. We are not going to lie. Here is a rundown of the answers that we've received by each team member.
Andy: Amazon. Because he will not give an exact reason why he loves Amazon and is thankful for it, we are forced to make assumptions. Andy is addicted to buying things online. The ease of buttons and virtual shopping carts warms his heart. For a guy who enjoys a good cave and does not relish leaving it, getting everything delivered to his cave opening is ideal. "I like Amazon.Com" is all we can get out of him.
John: iStock Photo. We already knew this. Actually, we had an intervention for John not too long ago for an iStock photo addiction, so we are not ecstatic to report John is thankful for the iStock photo emporium. He browses for hours and hours and when he is all out of credits he comes crawling to Reuben for more. We see a pattern. If you or a loved one have an iStock problem, call 1-800-555... just kidding. There is no cure that we know of.
Caitlin: Hulu. Not having cable can take a toll on a person's well-being. Thankfully, Caitlin has hulu.com. This is where she goes to watch shows like Fringe, Dollhouse and Arrested Development (she watched this entire series in three days we swear. We don't think she slept.) Caitlin is thankful for never having to miss another Dwight-ism from The Office and being able to watch episodes of Glee until she memorizes the dance routines in her sleep. "I can watch kitten mittons over and over, with no hassles!" No hassles indeed, Caitlin. Enriching her mind through the wonders of Hulu.com.
Lori: Anthropologie. Lori has a shoe closet that most would envy. A sweater fan since an early age, Lori admires a good-looking garment. That is why she is thankful for Anthropologie. This site is a clothing enthusiast's dream. Although Anthropologie can inspire bouts of depression (because lets face it, who can afford a $400 skirt?), Lori still cherishes this website and it fuels her dreams of making it big. Thanks Anthropologie, for giving us something to work towards.
Reuben: Apple. Reuben spends his off time perusing the pages of Apple's web site, drooling over new products and hoping for the chance to live chat with his blood brother, Steve Jobs. "If we let him, he would stare at it all day. We would need couples counseling if he did that," Lori says. He drank the Kool-aid and man, did it taste good. Reuben and Apple, Apple and Reuben. BFFs.
Rachel: The Onion. If you receive a news article from Rachel, make sure it is not from The Onion. She tends to play tricks on the innocent. She likes theonion.com because, "Other news casts offend just one group of people each. The Onion doesn't descriminate. No one is safe from the Onion. I like equality in offensive material." Although she would be more thankful if Memphis would get the printed versions of the Onion, she is still happy the Internet provides endless headlines of insanity like "Nation's Fast Food Patrons No Longer Trusted to Dispense Own Ketchup" and "1999 Collaboration Between Santana, Rob Thomas Somehow Standing Test Of Time". Who doesn't want to read about this stuff?
Well, enough about us... What web sites are you thankful for?
